Greenhouse horticulture

In greenhouse horticulture, climate control is never a secondary concern. Temperature, humidity and CO₂ levels directly determine crop growth, quality and yield. A heating system that does not perform reliably does not cost you comfort, but production.

We install CO₂ heat pumps for greenhouse builders and turnkey installation companies in the horticultural sector. Together, we map out heat flows and processes to ensure the system integrates seamlessly with the greenhouse’s overall heating system.

A step away from natural gas

A CO₂ heat pump can be connected to existing heating installations and reduces dependence on natural gas. It does not require a complete system conversion, but it does provide a concrete step towards a more sustainable energy base.

The heat pumps have a capacity of 500 kW to 3,000 kW per rack. All units are designed for optimal performance and tailored to the customer’s specific operational requirements. The full range is available as water-based and air-based heat pumps. These heat pumps offer flexible, scalable solutions for every application. Thanks to the modular design, multiple units can be combined to create virtually unlimited total capacity.

The heat pumps use the natural refrigerant CO₂. This makes them ideal for applications with return temperatures below 45 °C and supply temperatures of up to 85 °C. The heat pumps are supplied in a weather-resistant enclosure, designed as a fully approved machinery room with lighting, ventilation, a CO₂ alarm and sound-insulating panels.

The enclosure is available in any desired colour and provides additional space for the installation of an electrical distribution cabinet, pumps, shut-off valves in the water circuit and other components. The enclosure is usually supplied with a self-supporting concrete foundation, meaning that only a levelled sand bed is required for installation on site.
